About Command Game Lodge
Command Game Lodge is a privately owned game farm situated between Louis Trichardt (Makhado) and Musina in the Limpopo Province of South Africa one of the country’s most sought-after regions for wildlife, hunting, and eco-tourism.
Spanning more than 1100 hectares of unspoiled bushveld, the farm offers a natural habitat where wildlife thrives freely. The landscape is rich with indigenous vegetation, diverse ecosystems, and panoramic views of the majestic Soutpansberg mountain range.
Our lodge has been developed to provide guests with a balance between authentic bush living and modern comfort. Whether you are here for hunting, relaxation, or exploration, the environment is designed to immerse you in the true African wilderness.

Accommodation
Command Game Lodge offers comfortable, well-equipped accommodation designed to provide a relaxing retreat after a day in the bush. The lodge can accommodate up to 16 guests, making it ideal for families, hunting groups, or private getaways.
All units are air-conditioned and include quality linen, towels, and essential amenities, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
Large Chalet
The spacious large chalets are ideal for guests seeking additional comfort and privacy. Each chalet includes:
- Two queen-size beds
- En-suite bathroom with bath, shower, and double basins
- Air conditioning
- Clean linen and towels provided
These chalets are perfect for couples or small groups.
Small Chalet
The smaller chalets offer a cosy and practical option without compromising comfort:
- Two three-quarter beds
- En-suite bathroom with bath, shower, and double basins

Ideal for additional guests or group accommodation.
Main Lodge
The main lodge serves as the central gathering space where guests can relax and socialise. It features:

- Comfortable lounge area
- Television with DStv
- Traditional South African décor and atmosphere

Lapa & Outdoor Area
The lapa is the heart of the outdoor experience:
- Multiple braai (BBQ) areas

- Seating area for relaxing and socialising

Hunting
Command Game Lodge offers a professional and ethical hunting experience in a controlled and well-managed environment. Hunting is available using rifle, bow, or muzzleloader, catering to different preferences and skill levels.
A variety of game species are available on the farm, with additional species available on request.
Ethical Hunting Policy
We maintain a strong commitment to ethical hunting practices:
- Any wounded animal will be charged in full
- Respect for wildlife and humane practices are strictly enforced
- Certain species are protected and may not be hunted
Prohibited species include:
- Nyala (ewes)
- Tsessebe (both sexes)
- Sable (both sexes)
A penalty fee of R100,000 per animal will apply if any prohibited species are harmed.

Directions
Directions from Polokwane (Pietersburg): From Polokwane (Pietersburg) take the N1 to Musina. Traveling towards Musina, turn left on the Huntleigh gravel road approximately 42 km from Louis Trichardt (Makhado). Main gate situated approximately 9.5 km on the left side of the gravel road.
